Early pregnancy problems
There are some symptoms that are more worrying than others when it comes to early pregnancy. This includes vaginal bleeding and pelvic or abdominal pain. Vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy is not typically critical to the mother or foetus, however, an ultrasound scan is required. If the bleeding is paired with pain it may be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. If pelvic or abdominal pain is found to be moderate to severe, persistent or progressive then it could be an indication of an ectopic pregnancy a miscarriage. Again, an ultrasound scan is required. Blood tests will have to be made before pregnancy loss can be confirmed.
