Fibroids are benign growths that develop in or around the womb. They are compact tumours and can range from the size of a pea to a small orange. They are a very common issue in women, the cause of fibroids is still unknown. Though there is no interference with conception, fibroids can be linked to recurrent miscarriages, and affect the growth of the foetus. It is recommended that fibroids are removed before trying for pregnancy.
